momondays – you meet the nicest people

In 2014, I suffered the biggest scare of my life – a massive heart attack. Thanks to my lifetime buddy who drove me towards the hospital where we met an ambulance and some wonderful medical care at Kenora and St. Boniface hospitals… I survived. There was some damage done to the heart but I am still able to function normally. At least my new normal! As my cardiologist told me: “You won’t be able to run any marathons.” Darn! Just when I was planning to take up running!

Since the attack, I have done everything in my power to take care of myself. I’m engaging in well over the recommended 150 minutes of cardio exercise per week that we all should be doing. I’m eating better by choosing healthier choices, eating smaller portions, and often (but not always) avoiding comfort foods high in saturated fats. Because of all of that, I have lost some weight which is no doubt good for me as well.

Besides all of those details, I am trying hard to use this second chance to live life to the fullest. I try to do things every day that I feel are of value. I try to engage more with people in my life that I care about. Let me assure you that if you ever find yourself lying in a hospital bed believing those will be your last moments on earth, all you are thinking about are those people who have touched your life!

Becoming connected with momondays Winnipeg is one of those good things I have done. It is rewarding to be a part of such positive energy!

Get ready for laughs and to be inspired and entertained and of course MOtivated!

When the crowd enters a momonday event, it reminds me of my days with the Winnipeg Goldeyes Baseball Club. The crowd was a key component for my fulfillment in my job. That is where I drew my energy and positive vibes. The same holds true for momondays!

moposter winnipegStephanie Staples and I have tentatively confirmed dates for upcoming shows at Celebrations Dinner Theatre. For up-to-date information check on http://momondays.com/winnipeg. You never know what to expect at momondays since every event is different yet each one has a similar pattern. Five or six speakers, musical entertainment and fun audience participation. And hopefully, by the end of the night the audience feels motivated.
Currently, advance online tickets are just $15 and if tickets remain the day of the show they are $20. You can reserve a table of 4, 6, 8, or 10 for you and your friends, colleagues or clients. Get ready for laughs and to be inspired and entertained and of course motivated! The doors open at 5 PM, the first speaker hits the stage at 6:30, and we wrap up around 8:45.

I hope to see old friends and meet new ones at an upcoming momonday event! Sometimes it is wise to focus on the good in your life and enjoy it to the fullest! Momondays are like that for me!
